The Premier League’s Saturday set of fixtures begin at Vicarage Road, as Watford play host to Liverpool.
Last season these two teams fought a tight battle in the corresponding fixture and could only be separated by Emre Can’s extraordinary bicycle-kick.
This time around it could be a similarly close affair, but we fancy Liverpool to edge out on top.
The Reds might be missing Philippe Coutinho with a back injury (pull the other one, Philippe), but Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are a formidable attacking trio.
Add to that the Merseysiders have won their last four opening day fixtures and the 6/10 for Liverpool to win looks an excellent shout.
But what about the new boys for either side?
Andre Gray is expected to make his Vicarage Road bow following his £18.5m move from Burnley this week, while Salah should also start for the visitors.
The good news is that you can expect goals to accompany your Saturday teatime.
Seven of the last 12 matches between these two have seen Over 2.5 Goals and we go Evens that it’s same again in Hertfordshire.
The Both Teams to Score market is also handily priced at 5/6, but we think you’re best off avoiding it and going for Liverpool to Win to Nil at a more enticing 17/10.
Put simply, when the Reds beat Watford, they don’t let their opponents score.
In their last six meetings there have been five clean sheets, four of which have been kept by Liverpool.
And if scorelines are your bag then how about 1-1 at 13/2. Both sides still have issues to iron out and that could make it a slow start to Saturday’s action.
