Watford boss Marco Silva has already secured deals for Will Hughes and former Hornets loanee Tom Cleverley this summer.
And it’s another man who spent time on loan at Vicarage Road who could be set to sign on with the club this summer, in the shape of Nathaniel Chalobah.
The youngster spent the 2012-13 season on loan with then-Championship Watford, featuring 42 times for the club.
But having endured five further loan moves since, whilst only appearing in 15 games for parent club Chelsea, it seems he’s likely to move on to pastures new.
It’s the Hornets who are firm favourites for his signature as it stands, with 11/8 for the 22-year-old to rejoin the Hertfordshire outfit this summer.
Everton are dark horses for the England Under-21 ace’s signature at odds of 10/1, while Leicester (16/1) and Bournemouth (20/1) round out the betting.
With the highly-rated Silva already recruiting well this summer, our odds-crunchers are confident of survival for the Hornets, with 4/9 to stay up.
Add a player of Chalobah’s quality to their ranks, and that price could get even shorter, while a top-half finish (13/2) certainly isn’t out of the question in the coming campaign.
