Arsenal and West Ham have just played out a thrilling 3-3 draw, that seemingly ends the Gunners’ title challenge but keeps the Hammers’ hopes of Champions League qualification alive.

The match was certainly an end-to-end spectacle, with the hosts managing 19 shots to the visitors 11 and the viewing public was sure to be entertained.

Here’s how Twitter reacted.

Andy Carroll was the star of the show, scoring all of his West Ham’s goal to bag himself a hat trick.

That brings his tally for the season to seven and onlookers were impressed by what they saw from the 27-year-old forward.

Conversely, Gabriel had a difficult day for the Gunners, with Carroll getting the better of him for his third goal and this didn’t go unnoticed on social media.

The result means Arsenal can now only achieve a maximum of 77 points and this doesn’t look like it will be enough to mount a realistic title challenge.

Manchester United picked up 75 points when they won the league in 1996/97, but, with Leicester already on 69, it looks unlikely that the Gunners will be able to finish top of the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

Indeed, many Arsenal fans on Twitter were resigned to the fact that their wait is going to carry on.

Inevitably, this led to fans of the north Londoners once again calling for Wenger’s resignation.
