Tottenham look to be on the verge of signing Crystal Palace’s wantaway winger Wilfried Zaha, having launched a £15m bid for the former England international.
The 23-year-old had a season of two halves last time out, netting five times by the end of January before failing to score again for the remainder of the season.
However, the former Manchester United man is undoubtedly one of the Eagles’ most gifted players, and reports suggest Palace boss Alan Pardew will be selling the unsettled youngster with a heavy heart.
And our traders are pretty confident of where the Abidjan-born winger is heading, with his odds of a move to Tottenham having fallen from 10/1 to just 4/7.
Despite having a wealth of options on the left flank, including the likes of Heung-Min Son, Nacer Chadli and Clinton N’Jie, Spurs currently have just one option on the other wing, in the shape of Erik Lamela.
That means Zaha could offer a much-needed alternative to the Argentine, with the Lilywhites contending with both domestic duties and a Champions League campaign this season.
A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Zaha is about to strop out of Selhurst Park and Spurs boss Pochettino is hot-favourite to seal his signature before the window slams shut.”
Tottenham host Liverpool on Saturday, with the hosts 7/5 for a first victory in eight meetings with the Merseyside giants.
