In what would undoubtedly be one of the best January signings of all time, Tottenham and West Ham have been linked with a move for Juventus’ talismanic striker Mario Mandzukic.

The Croatian hotshot is reportedly considering a move away from Turin, amid growing frustrations of battling £75m signing Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dyzaba for game-time.

Higuain was signed from Napoli in Europe’s second-biggest move of the summer, ousting Mandzukic as the main man up front.

It’s believed Spurs and the Hammers are top of the list of potential destinations for Croatian international.

The 30-year-old would be a major coup for either side, with Mandzukic widely regarded as one of this decade’s finest European strikers.

Bundesliga titles and a Champions League with Bayern Munich, a Supercopa success with Atletico Madrid and a Serie A crown with Juventus are just some of the accomplishments on Mandzukic’s stellar C.V.

With Tottenham preparing to move into a new, uber-modern stadium, and West Ham looking to grow in their new home in Stratford, a signing of Mandzukic’s calibre would go down well in their respective boardrooms.

Of course, with a player of Mandzukic’s standing potentially available, it’s no surprise to learn that the two London outfits are not alone in their quest to land the striker.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be courting the former Dinamo Zagreb ace, as they look to land a headline-grabbing signature to replace the departed Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Coincidentally, Spurs and West Ham will resume Premier League duties after the international break by facing each other.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are 1/2 favourites, with West Ham the 5/1 outsiders, but it seems they’re now vying for more than just three points.
