Stoke City host Arsenal with the home side looking to build upon their impressive record against the Gunners at the Britannia Stadium.

Arsene Wenger’s side are 11/10 favourites for the clash, but considering their recent struggles in Stoke the draw looks to offer better value at 23/10.

The Potters have hosted Arsenal on four separate occasions in the league, winning twice, drawing once and suffering only one loss.

In all of those games both sides have found the back of the net, and therefore a score draw could be worth backing at 3/1.

Last season’s fixture ended 1-1, and a repeat result this time around is priced at 6/1.

Arsenal’s equaliser in that match came from Robin Van Persie, and with the Dutchman now scoring goals for rivals Manchester United the Gunners may be set to struggle.

Alex Song has also followed his former team-mate out of the Emirates to join Barcelona, and his absence in midfield may well be rued against Stoke.

The North Londoner’s solitary victory in Staffordshire came in the 2009/10 campaign courtesy of two stoppage time goals.

Whilst Arsenal are yet to find their best form, Stoke aren’t in the best shape either having not won in the Premier League in seven successive attempts.

The home side are priced at 5/2 to end that record against the Gunners, who have just one league win from six.

In the goalscoring stakes, both new Arsenal signings Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski are 11/2 to open the scoring for the visitors.

Young tyro Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in the squad following injury, and his odds of 10/1 to break the deadlock first are tempting.

For the Potters, last season’s top scorer Peter Crouch is the favourite to score first at 15/2, with Irishman Jonathan Walters a touch longer at 9/1.

If you are unsure of the final outcome of the match, then betting on just both teams to score at 4/6 may be of interest.
