Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s marquee move to Manchester United is doing more than ruffling a few feathers in the dressing room, with Anthony Martial unfollowing the Red Devils on Twitter after his number nine shirt was given to the Swedish superstar – and odds of an exit for the French striker are tumbling.

The former Monaco man scored 20 times in his first campaign at Old Trafford, including an unforgettable wonder-goal on his debut against Liverpool.

But while he’s well liked by the United faithful, that relationship could well turn sour, with historic rivals Arsenal leading the race for his signature.

With the 20-year-old fuming at being given the number 11 shirt, odds of him moving to the Gunners have fittingly fallen from 9/1 to just 11/2.

Arsene Wenger is reportedly very keen on snapping up the disgruntled United hitman – especially with former Old Trafford youngster Danny Welbeck likely to miss most of the season with injury.

French giants PSG are next in the running at 9s to bring the Parisian back home, while Chelsea (16/1) have an outside chance of adding the young star to Antonio Conte’s ranks.

However, the bookies have effectively ruled out controversial moves to the Red Devils’ rivals Liverpool (25/1) and Manchester City (33/1).

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Martial’s shirty response to being ousted as #9 could be the first step on the path to an Old Trafford exit, and Arsene Wenger could be the man to welcome him with open arms.”

Arsenal begin their season by hosting Liverpool at the Emirates, with 11/10 for the north London outfit to take all three points. But will it be Olivier Giroud, or another French striker spearheading the Gunners’ attack come August 14?
