Midfielder Sandro has asked his representatives to sound out offers from different clubs following Tottenham Hotspur’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.

In a week where Luka Modric has dominated the headlines over a potential move to Chelsea, Harry Redknapp faces a second dilemma with the news his Brazilian midfielder is also keen on a move away from White Hart Lane.

Brazilian Sandro has become a regular starter for Spurs with some very dominant performances this season, and his performances in the Champions League have alerted Real Madrid.

Mourinho is keen on the 22-year-old to replace Lassana Diarra who looks to be on his way out of the Bernabeau, and the Real manager is hoping to use Diarra as a makeweight in a deal for Sandro.

Spurs have valued Sandro at a huge £35m, four times the sum they paid for him when brought from Internacional in 2010, but Real are not prepared to pay such a fee for the Brazilian.

Diarra could be a key figure over the summer for Tottenham as Redknapp has already expressed his interest in the Frenchman but while the Modric saga rumbles on, the Spurs manager will not want lo lose any more midfielders.

Redknapp is keen on a year-long loan deal for the midfielder but Real want to sell Diarra in a permanent move and with Real’s interest in Sandro, Redknapp would struggle to land the Frenchman without losing his Brazilian.

Spurs’ failure to qualify for the Champions League is beginning to have its repercussions and while Spurs’ stance remains strong over the sale of Modric, the player is eager to make the move to a Champions League side.

Losing Sandro and Modric would be a huge blow to Tottenham and Redknapp needs to get his affairs in order soon or he faces a long summer, and season, of discontent.
