The rumour reel has gone up a notch following Philippe Coutinho’s £135m switch to Barcelona over the weekend.

Liverpool are now flush with cash, which could trigger a spate of moves across Europe and the Premier League.

We’ve picked out some of the best potential transfers making the headlines today…

Antoine Griezmann

Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has long been a target for some of the world’s richest clubs. Manchester United, Barcelona and Arsenal have all shown interest in the past.

Now, though, it appears that the Catalan club have stolen a march on their Champions League rivals.

Despite signing Coutinho from Liverpool for £135m, they remain the 8/1 favourites for the Frenchman’s signature. United are next at 12/1, with the Gunners way back at 25/1.

Divock Origi

Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers signed Divock Origi on the back of his performance for Belgium in the 2014 World Cup. Under Jurgen Klopp, the 21-year-old has been a bit-part player at Anfield.

He was sent out on loan to Vfl Wolfsburg at the start of this season and now that moves look as though it could become permanent.

However, a switch may depend on the future of fellow striker Daniel Sturridge, whose own situation is also up in the air.

Nicolo Barella

Liverpool, Inter Milan or Juventus will have to fork out £44m if they want to sign Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella, according to club president Tommaso Giulini.

The 20-year-old star would fit the high-intensity pressing game employed by Klopp, while also offering a younger tough-tackling alternative in the middle of the park.

He’s a versatile player who has the energy and dynamism required to ply his trade in the Premier League. With Liverpool swimming in money following the sale of Coutinho, they could be tempted by the diminutive youngster.

Mesut Ozil

There are now just six months left on Mesut Ozil’s contract.

That means the Arsenal ace will be free to find a new club by the time the summer rolls around.

Juventus are the newest name to be linked with a move for the German star. The Italian giants can match the 29-year-old’s wage demands, while manager Massimiliano Allegri is known to be a fan of the playmaker.
