When leaving Ladbrokes towers last night the gamble on Harry Redknapp was still going strong.

Despite opening in the market at 25/1, Redknapp was 1/1 as the commuters sheltered the thunderclouds that covered London in the warmth of their train cabins last night.

So it came as a surprise to some who are emerged from those very same train carriages this morning that Redknapp was as short as 4/7 to land the Chelsea job.

The money has come online, in stores and over the phone as punters place hefty bets on the Tottenham Hotspur manager making the move south, and when there is this much money in the market, it makes sense to sit up and take notice.

However the Tottenham Hotspur manager is now a huge drifter in the next Chelsea manager betting and is available at 5/4 to replace Ancelotti.

The layers are out in force for Redknapp and the betting is once again wide open as Redknapp continues to drift.

With Guus Hiddink continuing to distance himself from the job, Abramovich looks set to miss out on his number one target and the Chelsea’s owners thoughts need now turn to the best candidate after Hiddink.

Despite all the money for Redknapp, there’s not much movement in the other direction for the alternative candidates with Hiddink drifting slightly to 5/2 from 2/1 and Marco van Basten 10/3 from 3/1.

Andres Villas-Boas and Pep Guardiola are both trading at 8/1 but there has been a bit of money for the latter who has been trading at around 12/1 over the past few days.

There is plenty of money to be made in the next Chelsea manager betting and punters should be looking to get involved, be it by backing or betting against ‘Arry.

A £10 stake on Pep Guardiola taking charge of Chelsea would return £90. Sign up here to take advantage of a free bet worth up to £30.
