Read on for a flurry of top Prem stats which will surprise, entertain and impress your mates…

Most effective dribbler

Eden Hazard

Nobody can match Chelsea’s Eden Hazard with the ball at his feet. The Belgian ace has attempted 214 dribbles this season, completing 165 of them. The next most successful was Wilfried Zaha (119 completions), with Manchester City’s Leroy Sane pulling off 85.

Player with the best headers

Alvaro Morata

He may not have had the best season overall, but Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata has scored more headed Prem goals than anyone else. Seven of his 11 goals have been nodded home!

Tottenham hotshot Harry Kane is next with six, while the evergreen Sergio Aguero scored five with his head.

Most involved at the business end

Mohamed Salah

It’s no surprise that Mohamed Salah tops this list. The Egyptian hitman directly contributed to half of Liverpool’s 84 Prem goals! Salah netted 32 himself, providing 10 assists.

The 25-year-old’s most productive game was the 5-0 defeat of Watford. Salah scored four of the goals, setting up Roberto Firmino for the other.

Most contributions as a substitute

Olivier Giroud

Olivier Giroud has been the definition of a ‘Super Sub’ this season – especially since his January switch across the capital, from Arsenal to Chelsea.

The Frenchman scored six goals as a sub; two more than any other Premier League player managed. Two of those came in the Blues’ dramatic 3-2 comeback win at Southampton in April.

Player who’s won the most penalties

Raheem SterlingMan City’s wing wizard Raheem Sterling was awarded the most penalties of any Prem player last season, with six. That included a vital one which Sergio Aguero then netted in November’s 3-1 defeat of Arsenal.

Next up were Wilfried Zaha and Everton youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who won four spot-kicks apiece.

Top goalscorers in the Premier League

Mo Salah

Mo Salah galloped off with the Golden Boot in 2017-18, with 32 goals in 36 outings. Along the way, he netted in 24 different matches, scoring two or more goals six times.

Harry Kane – top scorer in the previous two seasons – had to take second spot this time, scoring 30. Sergio Aguero and Jamie Vardy also hit the net 20 or more times.

The Premier League’s leading lights have given us another season to remember. From Mo Salah’s 32-goal haul to Eden Hazard’s magic, it’s been quite a campaign!

But the biggest prize went to Manchester City. Not only did they lift the Premier League title, but Pep Guardiola’s men became the first ever side to hit the 100 points total!
