Newcastle United head into this game against Bolton on the back of four straight wins in the Premier League.
They are now sixth in the table – eight points ahead of Everton in seventh – and a win here would see them move up into fifth spot ahead of a Chelsea, for a few hours at least.
With Papiss Cisse continuing to bang in the goals, this looks like it could be a long afternoon for Bolton…
Newcastle are unsurprisingly the big favourites at 8/13 and they head into this clash in fine form.
They became just the fourth team this season to pick up three points at Swansea in their last game and have tasted defeat just twice at home this season.
They saw off Bolton 2-0 earlier in the season and it’s hard to see beyond another comfortable win for the Magpies.
However, Bolton have won three of their last four in the league – a run that’s seen them climb to the dizzy heights of 16th in the table – and they have beaten Newcastle twice in their last four encounters.
Bolton are currently 9/2 to get the win and 11/4 to pick up a valuable point.
None of the previous three meetings between these sides at Newcastle has yielded more than two goals so backing under 2.5 goals to be scored at 11/10 looks temping.
Finally, Cisse has taken over from Demba Ba as the Magpies’ main goalscoring threat and he showed how ruthless he was with two brilliantly taken goals against Swansea on Friday.
He only had two chances in that game – both of which he put away – and he should get more opportunities against a Bolton side who have the second worst away defence in the English top tier.
He is 7/2 to open the scoring and 10/11 to score at any time.
