Newcastle big price at home again, this time against Everton

Newcastle were highlighted as a big price inside the last fortnight when doing the honours at home to QPR at 11/10, but the lesson does not seem to have been learnt as they prepare to entertain Everton.

Granted, Everton have only lost three times all season, but they have only triumphed once on the road since September, which some would argue was a fortunate three points at West Ham in a game marred by bad refereeing.

Therefore, it is surprising to see them installed as favourites at 7/5 to win at Newcastle.

This is even more the case based on the fact they have only won at St James’ Park once in their last 11 visits in all competitions, while they have already failed to beat Newcastle at home this season.

Newcastle are priced at 9/5 to win here and this appears amazing value.

The draw is available at 12/5 and this is certainly worthy of consideration given that Stoke are the only side to share the points on more occasions this season than Everton.

Another good price looks to be the 5/6 that over 2.5 goals are scored here.

Newcastle’s defensive frailties are well known and Everton can welcome back Marouane Fellaini after missing the last three games through suspension.

Alan Pardew’s team may be on the leaky side, but they have little trouble scoring, as they have shown by sticking three past both Manchester United and Arsenal of late in losing efforts.

Demba Ba scored both goals at Goodison Park earlier in the season and helped himself to another brace at Arsenal.

His future will be the subject of much discussion in the coming weeks, but he can do some talking on the pitch here and 13/8 looks especially lucrative that he is on target at any time in the 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, if Nikica Jelavic scores first or last in the fixture, money back will be given as a free bet on all losing first goalscorer match bets.
