Manchester United and Chelsea in shock move for Bayern ace Lewandowski

He’s won three Bundesliga titles on the spin, but Robert Lewandowski could leave Bayern Munich this summer – and join Chelsea or Manchester United.

It’s believed the Polish striker is unhappy with his team-mates after missing out on the Golden Boot.

Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pipped Lewandowski by one goal last season.

While Bayern once again won the Bundesliga at a canter, Lewandowski drew a blank in three of his final five appearances.

Aubameyang meanwhile, bagged four in his final three games to win it by 31 goals to 30.

And the BvB ace played one game fewer too.

Lewandowski is tied down at Bayern until 2021, and signed a contract extension as recently as December.

So he’ll cost the proverbial arm and a leg, but with 43 goals and 10 assists last season, anyone who signs the Poland international will surely collect silverware with ease.

And both Man United and Chelsea are in the market for top-line forwards this summer, with the latter 5/4 favourites to land Lewandowski.

The Red Devils are not extending Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s time at Old Trafford, while the Blues are set to ship off Diego Costa to the highest bidder.

Romelu Lukaku remains in the frame for the Stamford Bridge outfit, but Lewandowki’s potential availability may put a move for the Everton hotshot on hold.

And though the Bayern ace could cost well over £70m, Chelsea’s offloading of Costa would substantially ease that outlay.

That’s not something Man United can consider however, and that’s why our traders make Jose Mourinho’s men second in the betting at 13/8.

The duo are the firm frontrunners though, with AC Milan next up at 7s, and Real Madrid at 12/1.
