While the Premier League might be taking a back seat this weekend, there are still some important fixtures at both ends of the table taking place with Liverpool’s clash against Burnley one of those.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds grabbed an impressive and vital victory against top-four rivals Arsenal at Anfield last week and they can continue that momentum against their latest visitors.
The Merseysiders are just 2/9 to grab all three points this Sunday with the Clarets your 12/1 outsiders and the draw priced at 5/1.
There are two key plot lines running through this contest. The first is that while Liverpool have been magnificent against the top six, they’ve been guilty of slipping up against the perceived lesser lights.
A case in point is their 2-0 defeat at the hands of their upcoming opponents earlier in the campaign.
On the other side of the coin, Burnley have been terrific at home but absolutely rank on their travels this term, picking up just two points away from Turf Moor.
So, something to has to give and we’re putting all of our eggs in the Liverpool basket.
Their opponents are yet to recover from their humiliating Emirates FA Cup exit to National League Lincoln City with a draw against struggling Hull City and a 3-2 reverse away at Swansea City their most recent efforts.
Klopp’s outfit look set to take advantage of that situation with in-form Sadio Mane just 4/6 to add to his haul of three goals in his previous three games.
It’s 7/2 for Mane to net the game’s opener with Liverpool -2 priced at 13/8 for those of you who fancy a rush of home goals.
However, it’s perhaps unwise to expect a total capitulation.
Dyche’s men have kept their hosts honest in recent away days, netting in each of their previous six Premier League games on the road.
And that statistic makes our Headline Offer very appealing…
