Reports suggest that Liverpool’s first bit of business this summer could be a move for Las Palmas dynamo Roque Mesa. And our odds compilers concur, making it just Evens that the 27-year-old makes the Reds his next club.

Mesa has been hugely impressive for Los Amarillos this term, with the Gran Canaria outfit currently on course for a comfortable mid-table finish in La Liga, having chalked up an impressive pair of draws against Real Madrid along the way.

A lynchpin of the side, Mesa has proved himself to be an extremely tidy, reliable and skilful presence in central midfield, chalking up a number of assists this campaign – as well as a goal in his last outing, against Osasuna.

However, his performances haven’t only been noticed at Anfield. Tottenham are also believed to be keen on securing the Spaniard’s signature, and it’s 3/1 he joins Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

Next in the betting are Liverpool’s Merseyside rivals Everton (5/1), with a switch to German giants Bayern Munich priced up at 8/1.

They’re followed by Arsenal at 10/1, with Manchester duo City (12s) and United (16/1) also outsiders for his signature.

However, the bookies reckon it’s unlikely he’ll be heading elsewhere in La Liga, with Real Madrid priced up at 20/1 and Barcelona closing out the betting at 25s.
