Leicester v Chelsea: Hosts hugely overpriced for the win

Leicester vs Chelsea. Take your pick of the storylines:

Do you focus on the two managers, whose careers have intertwined from the early days of Roman Abramovich’s Chelsea reign and follow a range of insults and distaste ever since?

Or is it that the defending champions sat languishing in 15th place after an astonishingly poor start to the campaign, while the Foxes have stormed into the Champions League places on the back of searing counter-attacking football is the whistler whetter?

Either way, the Monday night clash looks deserving of some typical Sky Sports hyperbole and should be as entertaining on the pitch as it is on the touchline.

Ladbrokes make the visitors surprising favourites for the clash, despite the pair’s league position. Chelsea arrive as 13/10 chances for the win, with Leicester available at 2/1 and the draw a 12/5 shot.

Based purely on the Premier League table, the Foxes have to be seen as terrific value for the win but that theory is enhanced further when their results are analysed.

Those that believe Leicester are in a false position and will fall from grace soon enough need only look to home draws with Manchester United and Tottenham to be disproved, while the Foxes have won both home games against sides from the bottom half of the table, where Chelsea currently reside.

Only Arsenal have managed to collect all three points from Ranieri’s side this season, while Chelsea have beaten only four opponents in league assignments thus far.

Their only win against a side from above the fold came against the Gunners, who were reduced to nine men, and their only other point against top-half foes was an away stalemate with Spurs.

On that basis 2/1 about a home win looks to easily be the play to make, although Ladbrokes have two special offers on the match for anyone looking for extra incentives:

*Double Odds 1st Goalscorer

**Chelsea to win and BTTS WAS 10/3 NOW 4/1
