Frosty relations between Manchester United and Liverpool are nothing new, but the recent salty exchange between Jurgen Klopp and Gary Neville has proved an unlikely new installment – and the bookies reckon it could be set to continue.
With the Reds boss having already co-hosted Monday Night Football alongside Jamie Carragher this season, it’s 5/1 he now partners Neville on the show, to continue their public row.
Meanwhile, 4/1 says he gets returns to the show alongside Jamie Carragher, who also waded into the issue – agreeing with Neville’s original remarks.
In case you missed it, the argument has focused on G Nev’s criticism of Liverpool stopper Loris Karius, who he claimed “can transmit anxiety” to the Merseysiders’ defence, deeming him “not good enough” for the Premier League.
However, the bookies are offering 16/1 for the former Valencia boss to take on a coaching session with the stopper, while there’s 50/1 on offer for Neville to be next assistant manager at Anfield – a move which wouldn’t go down well with the Old Trafford faithful!
Meanwhile, it’s 100/1 that Nev and Kloppo settle their differences in the ring, with the ex-Red Devils man 1/2 to win the bout if it happens.
A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Things have heated up between two of English football’s biggest characters, and the bookies can see the outspoken pair going head-to-head in the studio.”
