Manchester United fans were put on red alert over the weekend after appearing to be given a big hint in the club’s hunt for a new striker.
Theo Griezmann, the 19-year-old younger brother of Atletico Madrid ace Antoine, sent a cryptic tweet on April 17 declaring his love for the Old Trafford club.
Granted the teenager is a self-confessed United fan, but with his tweet coming a full 24 hours after the Red Devils’ 1-0 win over relegated Aston Villa many are seeing the post as a hint that the elder Griezmann could be on his way to the north-west this summer.

At the time of writing more than 1,400 people had retweeted the post, indicating that the Atleti star would be a welcome addition to the United ranks.
United are next in action at home to Crystal Palace and entertain the Eagles as 1/2 favourites for the midweek clash.
The Londoners can be backed at 6/1 to put a huge dent in United’s top four hopes, while a share of the spoils is priced up at 3/1.
