With Francesco Guidolin forced to pack his bags and Bob Bradley ushered in as manager, you might think that Swansea City have had their fill of drama for a little while. But the biggest shock of all could be just around the corner, with the potential arrival of Sir Alex Ferguson.
Bradley broke new ground by becoming the first American manager in the Premier League, but the former Egypt gaffer credited his managerial style to sessions under the legendary Scot at Old Trafford.
It’s just 5/2 that Fergie takes on an advisory role at the Liberty Stadium, with Bradley clearly holding the former Man United manager’s advice in very high regard.
Swansea fans can expect to see the 13-time Prem-winning boss watching on at the Liberty Stadium this season at 4/9, but it’s the 33/1 for him to become the club’s Director of Football which will have Swans supporters dreaming.
Meanwhile, a sizeable 66/1 says Fergie gets back into the dugout as Bradley’s assistant, while it’s 100/1 for the pair to be joint-managers of the South Wales outfit.
A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “It’s been a rollercoaster few weeks for Swansea fans, but the former Man United maestro helping call the shots would surely top the lot.”
The Swans are next in action at the Emirates, where they’re 10/1 to beat Arsenal.
But could it be a new hire for the visitors which is grabbing the headlines when this clash rolls around?
