They’re 4/7 favourites to be relegated, but Huddersfield Town are certainly making the right moves to beat the odds.
The Terriers, making their Premier League bow this season after winning May’s Championship Play-Off Final, made three signings yesterday.
Tom Ince was arguably the headline arrival, with the winger moving to Yorkshire from Derby County for just £8m, rising to £11m.
It will be Ince’s third bite at the Premier League cherry, but at 25-years-old, he knows he won’t have many more opportunities during his peak years.
Huddersfield fans will be hoping then, that the winger produces the goods, having reached double figures in each of his last three seasons with the Rams in the Championship.
Also arriving yesterday was Danny Williams.
The American has joined on a two-year-deal, after running down his contract with Reading.
Williams was a lynchpin for the Royals over the past four seasons, and his experience in midfield could prove invaluable to David Wagner and his side this term.
The final arrival is one Huddersfield fans will already be familiar with, as Kasey Palmer returns on another season-long loan from Chelsea.
At just 20-years-old, Palmer impressed last term with four goals and three assists before an achilles injury ended his campaign in February.
But now on the Premier League stage, Palmer could do his career the world of good with the right performances, and again that should be to Huddersfield’s benefit.
And even this morning the Yorkshire outfit were at it again, with striker Steve Mounie arriving from Montpellier to become the club’s seventh summer signing.

Huddersfield have already broken their club transfer record twice this summer.
First on Laurent Depoirte for £3.5m, before that deal was quickly smashed by Aaron Mooy’s arrival from Manchester City for £8m, potentially rising to £10m.
We make the Terriers the outsiders at 5/4 for survival, but their transfer business so far looks rather promising.
