Ross Barkley has been brought into 1/5 from 4/9 to join Chelsea this month.
The Everton midfielder has long been a target for the Blues and now appears more likely than ever to move to Stamford Bridge.
Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in signing the midfielder but are trailing behind at 10/1.
Barkley has been out of favour at Goodison Park for some time.
His cause has not been helped by a hamstring injury which has prevented the 24-year-old from making a single appearance this season.
Toffees boss Sam Allardyce today confirmed that the 6ft 2in ace is likely to leave this month.
And that should be music to the ears of Antonio Conte and co.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “If Conte is looking for strength in depth, he could do a lot worse than adding Barkley to his ranks and it looks as though the Italian gaffer may have won the race for the England star.”
