To Steve Bruce’s enormous credit, his Hull side are proving a tough nut to crack back in the top flight, though Everton’s impressive form at Goodison Park should just be enough to see them home.

No Premier League side are protecting a longer unbeaten home run than Everton, which now stretches to 12 games.

This in itself could be deemed reason enough to swerve Hull’s inviting price of 13/2 to come away with the points and instead plump for the 9/20 on offer they leave empty-handed, a fate which befell the two most recent Premier League visitors to Goodison, Chelsea and Newcastle.

Despite Hull arriving on a run of four unbeaten in the league, their two previous away trips to teams with fearsome home records in Chelsea and Manchester City, ended in a pair of 2-0 defeats.

And although Everton may not be cast quite in the same mould as those title-chasers, at home they can often play like a team that could be mistaken for one.

However, considering Hull’s defence has just produced two straight shut-outs, the Toffees having to work for their crust and take it by just a single goal looks the bet at 13/5.

As they did last time against the Magpies, Roberto Martinez’ side are sure to fly out of the blocks against Hull and it could be profitable to note that the Tigers have conceded in the first 15 minutes in two of their three league away games.

Backing a quick-fire Everton strike in the first 15 minutes is available at 14/5, while those of a more cautious nature could simply opt for the 4/11 that the hosts take the lead at any point.

Don’t look any further than in-form Belgian Romelu Lukaku at 3/1 to be the man to get it either.
