Everton boss David Moyes has promised supporters that they will not be losing any of their top players this summer.

The Toffees have ended the season in fine form and the performances of Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini amongst others have drawn the attentions of some of the Premier League and Europe’s big clubs.

Left-back Baines has long been on the radar of Sir Alex Ferguson.

The United boss has toyed with the possibility of a bid for the 27-year old for the last two years but has been held back with Patrice Evra making the left defensive role his own at Old Trafford.

However, it is believed that the Scot has now decided it may be time to move the Frenchman out and bring Baines in. He is particularly keen on adding the Everton man’s crossing and set-piece abilities to his squad, and may test the Merseyside club’s resolve with a £15 million bid.

This term Belgian Fellaini has really flourished into an accomplished midfielder with the ability to play in either a deep-lying role or higher up the pitch, even being used as a second striker at times.

The 24-year old is drawing attention in the Premier League from the likes of Chelsea as well as further afield from big-spending Paris Saint Germain.

His current club are determined to hold on to their star man and he is believed to be settled in Liverpool, but an offer upwards of £20 million is sure to make the Goodison outfit consider letting him move on.

The Toffees manager has quashed rumours of any exits.

“It will be important that we keep hold of our best players.

“We lost Mikel Arteta last year but I don’t want to sell. So I’m not going out there as a salesman to try to sell them. We have had no contact from Chelsea (on Fellaini).”

Instead the former Preston supremo is determined to add some quality to his squad and he is currently tracking 31-goal Heerenveen striker Bas Dost to partner the impressive Nikica Jelavic up front.
