It’s highly likely that Everton will need to find a replacement for Romelu Lukaku this summer, and one potential target is Malaga star Sandro Ramirez.

The 21-year-old has fired in 14 goals in just 28 La Liga games this season, helping Malaga sit a comfortable 11th in the table.

The Las Palmas-born forward only joined the club last summer, after making 32 appearances for Barcelona.

Despite netting seven goals for the Catalan giants, Ramirez’s move to Malaga has undoubtedly proved a success.

Valued at less than £7m by transfermarkt.co.uk, Malaga could well claim upwards of £20m for their star man, who is contracted to the club until 2019.

But that won’t worry the Toffees, who are likely to receive a major windfall as and when Lukaku moves on.

Ramirez has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign, and has scored against La Liga’s top sides too.

The forward netted in both games versus Sevilla, while also scoring in the 2-0 win over his old club Barcelona last month.

And it’s his form in recent weeks which has really enhanced his status in the transfer market.

After hitting seven goals in his first 18 games this term, a hamstring injury ruled Ramirez out for two months.

Eased back into first-team action in March, the forward has been in explosive form of late with seven goals in his last seven appearances.

And our odds suggest Everton are the front-runners to sign La Liga’s newest hotshot at 7/4.

Those odds have come in from the 3/1 on offer earlier this week.

Ronald Koeman will have to move fast though, with Sevilla chalked up at 2/1 to sign the man who has scored twice against them this season.

Like Everton, the Spanish outfit have seen their odds cut too, in from 7s.

Atletico Madrid are next at 4/1 – a possible replacement for Antoine Griezmann perhaps – before the market then drifts to Tottenham at 6s.
