Sean Dyche remains favourite to take the vacant Everton post, but the latest odds suggest Marco Silva is a man on the move.
The Watford boss was a lengthy 20/1 shot yesterday afternoon in the immediate aftermath of Ronald Koeman’s sacking.
But our traders had to quickly cut that price into 14s, before an even bigger slice brought Silva into 6/1 joint-third favouritism.
Sky Sports pundit and former Premier League defender Jamie Carragher has already declared that he thinks Everton should make a beeline for Silva.
The 40-year-old came to England last season, and impressed at Hull City despite very limited resources.
Silva was a man in demand during the summer, and after a move to Crystal Palace fell through Watford swooped.
The Hornets have reaped the benefits so far. A shrewd tactician, Silva has guided the Hertfordshire outfit to sixth place in the Premier League.
But Everton will have a fight on their hands to persuade Watford into letting Silva go.
That wouldn’t be a problem as far as Thomas Tuchel is concerned. The former Borussia Dortmund boss is on the market after parting ways from BvB last summer.
And like Silva, Tuchel’s odds have come tumbling in to 8/1 from 20/1.
Sean Dyche remains favourite for the Goodison Park gig, however.
The Burnley boss was 7/4 last night, and his odds have held firm at 2/1 today.
Dyche has also been linked with the Leicester City position, and it appears that the Clarets are up against it if they wish to keep their current manager.
Everton U23 coach David Unsworth has been handed the reins on a temporary basis, and is 5/1 second favourite to get the post permanently.
