New Everton boss Ronald Koeman has already brought in four new names since arriving on Merseyside, but he could be about to produce Everton’s biggest transfer coup of the summer by snapping up Southampton striker Graziano Pelle.
The 30-year-old netted twice for Italy at Euro 2016, and his displays marked the former Feyenoord man out as one of the players of the tournament.
And Everton could be about to benefit from his immense talent, with Koeman 5/4 to snap up his former star striker.
However, there is plenty of competition for the striker’s signature, with Pelle’s former international boss second-favourite to snap him up for Chelsea at 5/2.
Meanwhile, there’s a chance he’ll be a foe for the Everton faithful, with 4/1 that the man from Lecce heads for Klopp and the Kop, while it’s 6s that Serie A giants Juventus lure him home.
Leicester City (10/1) could also look to add an experienced striker ahead of their European adventure, but the bookies have effectively ruled out a move to heavyweights Manchester United (25/1) and Arsenal (33/1).
A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Everton fans are buzzing at the prospect of snapping up one of the continent’s hottest strikers, but the Toffees could well find themselves in a sticky situation if the red half of Merseyside tables a bid for Pelle.”
