The news that Lukasz Fabianski has completed his switch from Arsenal to Swansea has fuelled the fires of speculation that the current holder of the number one jersey at the Welsh club could be set for pastures new.

Having been forced to spend the vast majority of his Arsenal career as an understudy, Fabianski had been making overtures all season to suggest he would leave the Emirates in search of first team football this summer, come what may.

And despite playing every minute of Arsenal’s glorious FA Cup campaign the Pole has stuck to his guns in opting to jump ship to the Liberty Stadium.

With the above in mind it would be most peculiar if Fabianski had signed for Swansea on any other premise than being given the first-team gloves for the 2014/15 season.

The domino effect will surely mean Michel Vorm will indeed move on, with Liverpool – 11/2 to go one better in the Premier League next season – reportedly fronting the queue to sign him.

Since moving from FC Utrecht in the summer of 2011, Vorm has established himself as Swansea’s trusted number one in three seasons of Premier League football.

The Dutchman has forged a reputation as a fine shot stopper, but now he’s hit the 30 mark it appears the club are willing to let the net-minder seek new employment for a fee in the region of £3.5m.

For a keeper who started most of Holland’s World Cup qualifiers and is likely to go to the finals, this seems a very reasonable price.

Even though Brendan Rodgers forked out £10m on Simon Mignolet last summer, it’s believed he desires a high quality deputy to keep the Belgium international honest with Champions League football returning to Anfield.
