Having endured a wholly frustrating night in Greece in losing 2-0 to Olympiacos, Robin van Persie ended up blaming his teammates for getting in his way during the match.

Now the Dutch striker is said to be considering a move away from Manchester United in the summer having grown disgruntled with the new David Moyes regime at Old Trafford.

With Man United now 11/1 to finish in the top four this term, and 2/1 to qualify against the Greek giants, Van Persie should consider these three options as potential new destinations should this United campaign continue to turn sour:

Chelsea

After once again ruing the Blues’ lack of cutting edge following their 1-1 Champions League draw with Galatasaray, Jose Mourinho would do worse than poaching the striker that fired United to the title last season with 26 goals.

At the age of 30 and with a diminishing reputation for injuries, the Portuguese could pick worse players to revitalise his lifeless frontline.

Arsenal

A return to the Emirates is on the cards for Van Persie, if rumours are to be believed.

Arsenal could certainly make use of the Rotterdam native’s services again, having played much of the season with only Olivier Giroud as a trusted striker.

Having scored 30 league goals in his last season in north London, it wouldn’t take many more for the Gunners faithful to forget his United stint.

Monaco

This summer, one thing’s for sure. Chelsea are buying a striker. If it isn’t to be Van Persie, then Monaco’s injured Colombian, Radamel Falcao, could well be the man Roman Abramovich’s cash brings to west London.

With their own wads of notes ready to burn at will, Van Persie could well be tempted to have a crack at the French league with only Paris St-Germain in his way to collect more medals.
