Stoke head to Selhurst Park this weekend looking to build on their 3-2 victory over Arsenal last time out and at 19/10 are the favourites to do just that with three points.
Palace can be backed at 6/4 to end their three-game winless spell, while the draw is on at 11/5.
However, with just one of the last eight meetings between the sides ending all square the latter of those results is perhaps best avoided in favour of the following three best bets.
Stoke may be the favourites having won five of the last eight meetings and after blitzing Arsenal in the first half last week.
However, the stats suggest a tougher first 45 minutes in south-east London, with the Eagles having gone in all square at the break in four of their last five Premier League fixtures.
Stoke haven’t scored a second half goal since the 2-2 draw with West Ham in early November but look primed to end that run here.
The Ireland international may not have opened the scoring since the League Cup win over Portsmouth back in August but with six goals in 15 games this season, including three in his last five, he is the Potters’ main threat at present.
Palace couldn’t deal with Walters when they met in the FA Cup last year, with his brace helping secure a 4-1 win, and on current form he could run amok once more.
Neil Warnock may have recently bemoaned his side’s lack of attacking threat but he’s likely to see goals this weekend … although maybe not at the end he’d like.
Five of the last eight meetings between these two have yielded three or more goals and with Stoke in free-scoring mode last time out this looks set to be another high scoring affair.
