With a Champions League quarter-final clash between Chelsea and Paris St-Germain imminent, the French outfit have been busy courting two of the Blues’ most treasured possessions, Oscar and Eden Hazard.

Despite the powers that be at Chelsea making some questionable choices about which players aren’t up to scratch over the last few seasons, letting this pair vacate Stamford Bridge in the summer would be bordering on madness.

It’s been mooted that PSG are preparing a £41.5m bid for Oscar ahead of the World Cup, while their recent addition, Yohan Cabaye, has made public claims that Hazard would be the perfect signing for his new club.

However, even the big-spending Parisians do not have deep enough pockets for Jose Mourinho to allow playmaker Oscar, or Hazard, one of the world’s most exciting talents, to be pilfered this summer.

Daniel Sturridge and Juan Mata’s departures may have raised multiple eyebrows, but these two are players that Mourinho is intent on building his next Chelsea dynasty around.

After all, Mata was only sold to provide Oscar the room to develop into his chosen role as Chelsea’s chief string puller.

Meanwhile, the Special One has touted the sparkling Hazard as a future Ballon d’Or winner in the making, so the Belgian has an ‘off limits’ sign hanging around his neck also.

Furthermore, the diminutive duo can show PSG exactly what they’ll be missing when the sides square up at the Parc des Princes after the next round of Premier League fixtures.

Chelsea are the 5/2 outsiders to record a telling first-leg victory in France. With both the Brazilian schemer and the Belgian wing wizard virtually guaranteed to start barring injuries, they can have a sizeable influence on the outcome.
