Having reportedly said goodbye to his Chelsea teammates yesterday, enigmatic striker Diego Costa now looks certain to have cut his ties, with odds of 1/10 to leave this summer.
But the identity of his replacement also looks nailed-on: Fernando Llorente.
The Swansea City ace is just 1/3 to make Stamford Bridge his new home this summer. And having hit double figures in La Liga, Serie A and the Premier League during his career, the 32-year-old would arrive with plenty of pedigree.
However, while he’s the firm favourite to be Costa’s replacement, our odds-crunchers think there’s a good chance the Swans striker won’t be the only star forward signing on with the Blues this summer.
Alvaro Morata’s odds of a move to West London have been trimmed from 7/4 to 6/4 today, with Manchester United having seemingly abandoned their interest in the Real Madrid man.
Elsewhere, there’s 2/1 on offer for Torino ace Andrea Belotti – who struck 28 goals in Italy’s top-flight last term – to join Conte and co. before the window closes.
And there’s even a possibility of Arsenal ace Alexis Sanchez making a controversial move to the Bridge this summer at odds of 5/1.
A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Conte’s been quick to find a Costa replacement, and we’re expecting Llorente to be unveiled at the Bridge very soon. The question is, will he be followed by another top-class striker?”
