Birmingham have substantially eased their relegation worries with back-to-back Premier League wins and they can extend this sequence to three on the bounce with a victory over Newcastle.

Match Odds

Three points now separate Birmingham from the relegation places after their league triumphs over West Ham and Stoke, which is the first time that they have won successive top-flight games in 14 months.

This has made Birmingham’s betting odds 11/8 to beat Newcastle.

Newcastle are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games against Birmingham and are 2/1 to win at St Andrew’s.

However, the last four games at St Andrew’s have ended all square and this added to the fact that Newcastle have not won in five league games potentially makes the draw a decent bet at 9/4.

Over/Under 2.5 goals

There are a number of reasons why fewer than three goals are almost certain to be scored in Birmingham’s clash with Newcastle and it is 4/6 that under 2.5 goals are scored.

Firstly, only 26 goals have been scored in the Premier League at St Andrew’s this season, which is less than at any other ground in the top flight.

Furthermore, Newcastle still have to prove that they have the strikers in their squad to fill the void left by Andy Carroll and they failed to score in their last away game against Blackburn.

Although Birmingham have regained the winning feeling, this has been done without an abundance of goals being scored, with both of their Premier League victories being by a 1-0 scoreline.

It is 7/1 in the Premier League betting that Birmingham beat Newcastle 1-0, while it is 8/1 that the game ends goalless and 11/2 that 1-1 is the final outcome.

A £25 stake on the scorecast of Birmingham drawing 1-1 with Newcastle and Nikola Zigic scoring first would return £700. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
