Following West Ham United’s defeat to Arsenal last Saturday, it looked as though Avram Grant’s sacking was just hours, maybe minutes away.
However, after an alleged rebuff by Martin O’Neill, West Ham have decided to stick with Grant and he has moved out to 1/1 in the betting odds.
Grant was as short as 1/8 at the end of last week but has moved out to evens following West Ham’s rather lacklustre backing of him. He is still big favourite to be the next manager to get the boot however, so Grant can’t breathe too easy just yet.
With the odds lengthening so much, now may actually be a good time to bet on Grant to be sacked next. Things are changing seemingly by the minute at West Ham so the 1/1 currently offered looks like pretty good value – especially if you take advantage of a free bet worth £25 by clicking here.
Second favourite in the betting is Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti at 6/1, although he appears to have ridden out the worst of things.
While Grant has lengthened, a couple of other bosses have seen their odds shorten. New Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is trimmed from 12/1 to 10/1 after three games without a win, despite the wholehearted backing of captain Steven Gerrard.
Despite their brilliant first half of the season, Ian Holloway is another mover in the market and has come in from 25/1 to 16/1 as punters look for more value.
A £25 stake on Mark Hughes to be sacked next could return £325. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
