It’s the kind of news every Arsenal fan will want to read right now… reports are suggesting the club will spend roughly £200m on new arrivals when the transfer window opens this summer.

Whether or not said claims are to be believed – time will tell. But in the meantime, Gooners can at least dream.

And if some of the names currently being linked with a move do make the switch to the Emirates, the North London outfit will have plenty of reason to be hopeful about their chances of challenging for the Premier League next season.

The latest reports are suggesting Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha is one of their top targets, with the Eagles facing an uphill battle to keep hold of the 24-year-old.

Enjoying what has so far undoubtedly been his best year to date, Zaha has attracted interest from plenty of the Premier League’s elite sides – although it looked like Tottenham Hotspur were set to add the ex Manchester United winger to their ranks.

Already with six goals and 11 assists to his name this campaign in the top-flight this campaign, it’s thought Palace will slap a hefty price tag on his head – probably double the £12m Spurs bid for him last summer.

His versatility makes for a perfect Arsene Wenger-esque signing, with Zaha boasting the ability to play in any of the forward three positions.

Of course, we’re assuming here that the French boss will still be in charge of the Gunners come the opening day of next season – something which is yet to have been confirmed or denied.

However, whether or not Wenger will be around to oversee this deal, it’s looking more and more likely it will go ahead.

So what do fans think? Would you be happy with Zaha’s potential arrival in the summer? Let us know in the comments section below!
