Marco Asensio is one of Real Madrid’s rising stars, but now he’s a man in demand.
The 21-year-old wonderkid is reportedly sought by Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United.
Juventus are also believed to be in the mix.
Asensio enjoyed a stellar campaign at the Bernabeu last term, making 38 appearances for the Spanish giants as they claimed a La Liga and Champions League double.
The winger netted 10 goals in the process, including the fourth in their Champions League Final route of Juve.
Having only signed the Spaniard a little over two years ago for £2m from Mallorca, Real are under no obligation to sell and can effectively name their price.
And should they sell, Real know it’s between themselves and Barcelona to hand-pick the next Spanish talent to emerge on the scene, so they could replace the Mallorca-born forward with ease.
The Arsenal link is of particular interest, as the Gunners continue to fight off claims that Alexis Sanchez is on his way to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Chilean is Arsenal’s star man, but signing Asensio – one of Europe’s brightest talents – would certainly help ease the pain of losing Sanchez.
As for Man United, the Red Devils already boast an array of young attacking talent, in Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial.
But it’s the latter who is under pressure at Old Trafford, following two somewhat mediocre seasons in England.
Should Asensio become the latest big-money arrival in the North-West, Martial’s future would be called into serious question.
