Once again, Arsenal fans will likely face another nail-biting transfer window this summer, as the likes of Manchester City will be looking to tempt their current stars away from the Emirates. Hector Bellerin was linked with a move last year, as has Alexis Sanchez been since.
But Jack Wilshere is the latest name Pep Guardiola is reportedly interested in adding to his ranks at the Etihad.
The England international has arguably been in the form of his life since moving to Bournemouth on a season-long loan. Granted, he hasn’t scored or assisted as many goals as he’d have liked, but his presence has certainly brought out the best in other squad members.
And a long-run in the first-team which, prior to last night’s game, has been injury-free has understandably left potential suitors purring at the chance to sign him in the summer.
And following this image taken by Manchester City’s Official Snapchat account before last night’s game, our traders have responded by adding the Citizens to the list of runners in the hunt for Wilshere’s signature…

While Bournemouth are 3/1 favourites to make his move permanent, City have since been installed as 8/1 shots, but we’re only expecting that price to fall over the coming months as Wilshere continues to impress.
It’s not just this image which has triggered speculation though. Guardiola has never shied away from his interest in the England international.
And in the build-up to this week’s trip to Bournemouth, the Spaniard had this to say on the 25-year-old…
“I remember in Barcelona and that year we played Arsenal and he left a massive impression when he came,’ Guardiola said ahead of City’s defeat of Bournemouth.
“A high, high level. I know the problem with Jack Wilshere was just the injuries.
“He’s lucky to play regularly for one season and he is going to be back to being one of the best midfield players in England by far. He’s quality, he’s smart and has the quality on the ball.
“He has a special quality with the ball, dribbling as a holding midfielder to attack central defenders – it’s not easy to do that.
It’s thought Guardiola will be handed a whopping £200m to spend on new additions in the summer.”
So will Wilshere be on his list of wanted men?
