Antoine Griezmann is now odds-on to move to Manchester United this summer.
Amid news that the French ace has agreed a deal in principle with United, it’s now just 10/11 Griezmann swaps the red of Madrid for Manchester.
The Atletico Madrid talisman is widely believed to have an £85m release clause in his current agreement.
But with United laying out a world-record £89m for Paul Pogba 12 months ago, that’s unlikely to deter the 13-time Premier League champions.
And in fact it’s Griezmann’s relationship with international team-mate Pogba that is believed to have helped secure the deal.
Meanwhile, United’s draw at home to Hull last night hasn’t done their top four hopes any good, and they’re sixth-favourites at 11/8 to finish in the leading quartet.
Richard Marsh of Ladbrokes News said: “United may have dropped the ball last night on the pitch, but off it they’re got no such problems with Griezmann now more likely than ever to become a Red Devil.
Mourinho’s men have the EFL Cup final to look forward to this month, but we make it just 9/2 that United fail to win a trophy and finish outside the top four this season.
