Following on from Jon Pryke’s £29k cash-out win last week, Ladbrokes have made another Leicester City fan very rich indeed after paying out a cool £72k on Saturday.

The fan, who wishes to remain anonymous placed a wager of £50 at the start of the campaign at 5000/1 that the Foxes would win the Premier League, standing to win a massive £250k if Claudio Ranieri could lead his side to the impossible.

Despite all appearing to be going to plan, the supporter decided enough was enough at the weekend and took the money and ran before his side kicked off their game against Watford.

Holding on just a few hours longer could has seen his offer upped to £91k, after the Hornets succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to the East Midlands side, but nevertheless his win is not to be shirked at.

Speaking from his home in Warwickshire the lucky winner said:” I’m ecstatic, I read the papers on Saturday morning and thought it’s time to cash out. Win or lose the league, I’m looking forward to the rest of the season ahead. It will mean so much if we win so there’s no point in being greedy.”

“The odds are constantly changing, even Chelsea could sneak into the top four at the last minute,” he added.

“A holiday to Spain is a certainty followed by paying off the mortgage with the winnings.”

His total windfall comes to a tally of £72,335.89 which makes him the biggest cash-out winner in the country.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “It’s a life-changing amount of money and we congratulate our customer for holding his nerve this long.“

Our customer may be able to relax in safety of knowing that the cash is his, but for Leicester there is still plenty of work left to be done, starting against Newcastle next Monday.

That being said, odds on them winning the Premier League title of 5/4 read much better than the 5000/1 they were at the beginning of the campaign.
