The FA Cup second round is rolling into cities, towns and hamlets throughout England and below we have put together an appetising 5/1 treble.

Leyton Orient to beat Walsall @ 10/11

Leyton Orient have been enjoying the good life at the top of League One and should be entertaining a possible FA Cup third round tie after their match with goal-shy Walsall.

Whilst the O’s have notched six goals and secured four points in their last three in the league the visitors have been struggling, scoring only once in the same period and collecting a meagre two points.

Back-to-back victories against Shrewsbury and Peterborough before that run of three games must seem a long time ago and Dean Smith’s side could find themselves struggling with the confidence of their opposition.

Rotherham to beat Rochdale @ 4/6

League Two Rochdale are one of the most difficult teams in the country to predict at present but even so they are worth opposing against a Rotherham side brimming with confidence in League One.

Whilst The Dale have conspired to lose four and win four of their last eight games, their opponents have been impressing with five wins in their last six. That run has propelled them just inside the play-off places but manager Steve Evans will still be desperate to maintain the momentum and reach the third round.

Rochdale have shown this season that they can turn up anywhere and come away with the win, however, a lot has to be taken on faith, something that isn’t true of The Millers.

Preston to beat Wycombe @ 10/11

Preston sit pretty in third in League One and will be understandably confident of securing a potentially lucrative third round draw at the expense of League Two Wycombe.

The 35 places separating the sides will be fuelling some of the optimism from the Lancashire outfit but more than anything it is their terrific form that is making supporters dream of a big day out on the January 4th.

The Lilywhites have won four of their last five and haven’t tasted defeat in nine games in all competitions whilst Wycombe have been struggling for any form at all.

The Chairboys have only amassed two points in their last five in the league and the Cup has been a welcome distraction from their regular rigours.

Come 5pm they should have little choice but to concentrate.
