Jack Wilshere is more likely than ever to feature in Gareth Southgate’s 23-man squad for next year’s World Cup.
That’s according to our latest odds from the trading floor.
The Arsenal man’s odds have been slashed to just 6/5 in the last few weeks – shorter than they’ve ever been.
Wilshere was once an 11/4 shot to make England’s squad for Russia, but an impressive run of games for the Gunners has seen the bookies drastically cut his odds.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Things are looking good for Wilshere right now and the odds are suggesting if he keeps fit and in the Arsenal squad, he’ll book himself a seat on England’s summer flight to Russia.”
The midfielder produced an excellent display in Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Crystal Palace on Thursday, providing an exquisite through ball for Alexis Sanchez to net the Gunners’ third of the night.
