League Two Play-Offs: Which way will goal-ometer swing?

As we’re all aware Football League play-off games can be tricky to predict at the best of times, especially when they head into decisive second-legs.

Wycombe, Plymouth, Southend and Stevenage still have it all to play for with neither game in the League Two lottery turning into a dead rubber following the initial skirmishes.

However, Wycombe will be kicking themselves that this is the case given that they held a 3-0 advantage over the Greens before a late surge saw that whittled down to just the one goal ahead of the return fixture.

Southend’s tie against Graham Westley’s Boro outfit is also finely poised meaning we’re swerving win-draw-win predictions for a (slightly) more reliable currency – goals!

Check out the number of strikes scored in each teams’ respective previous six fixtures and see if you agree with our best bets.

While Wycombe v Plymouth looks set to be a goal-fest – there were 28 attempts on goal in the first leg – the other tie could be pretty cagey.

Think you can predict which way the goal-ometer will swing?
