Having given Newport County a glowing review in our look at prospective League Two promotion candidates recently there was a nagging doubt that we may have afforded the Exiles the proverbial ‘kiss of death’.

But rather than disappoint, Justin Edinburgh’s side have continued to pick up points, making them our standout pick in this weekend’s accumulator.

Newport are joined by both Exeter City and Oxford United in a treble that pays £85.14 from just a £10 stake with Ladbrokes.

Newport to beat Carlisle @ 4/5

Life at Rodney Parade could hardly be sweeter for Newport with the hosts unbeaten in south Wales since the opening day of the season.

During that 10-game sequence they’ve picked up maximum points on six occasions and we’re backing them to do the same here.

The omens aren’t good for Carlisle. Their mini-resurgence was cruelly cut short by way of a 3-0 defeat to York last time out and with four losses in their previous five away games the travel-sick Cumbrians won’t be relishing this encounter.

Exeter to beat Accrington @ 6/5

John Coleman’s Accrington outfit endured a difficult festive period with a respectable pre-Christmas point collected against Wycombe followed by a defeat to struggling York and the postponement of their scheduled game at home to Burton.

A tricky trip to Exeter is next up and Accy are likely to find little in the way of sympathy from a Grecians side who’ve won three of their last four at St. James Park.

The hosts were 3-2 victors in the corresponding fixture and look good value to claim a league double this weekend.

Oxford to beat Cheltenham @ 23/20

Cheltenham make the relatively short journey to face an Oxford side who are slowly starting to string some decent results together.

The U’s have lost just two of their previous 10 games in all competitions and recorded an impressive away win at Plymouth on their last outing.

Meanwhile, Cheltenham haven’t won in the league since mid-October, losing six of their last nine fourth division contests.
