Nick Fenton is in line for his first Rotherham start since last season’s play-off final after a poor defensive display at Burton Albion.

Rotherham, currently fifth in League Two and 7/1 shots to win the title, were 3-0 up when entering the Pirelli Stadium’s changing rooms at half time on Saturday thanks to goals from Kevin Ellison, Ryan Cresswell and the divisions leading scorer Adam Le Fondre.

An incredible fightback from Burton, assisted by some terrible defending from Rotherham, meant the Brewers came away with a point and Moore is calling on his team-mates to learn from the defeat.

“The lads know they have to concentrate more and kill off games like Burton,” said Fenton, “I think a few people took their foot off the pedal in the second half.

“There were some harsh words said in the dressing because we should not be losing a three-goal advantage and getting pegged back like that.”

Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore is threatening to make changes to his defensive line for the trip to Barnet on Saturday, and Fenton is fit and fighting to line-up next to captain Ryan Cresswell at the heart of the defence.

“I respect the manager’s decision as Ryan and Exodus have been doing well and they probably deserve to keep their places in the side,” said Fenton, “but I’m not one of those people who is happy being on the bench.”

Rotherham are 11/8 to go to Barnet and defeat them, and Moore will want to see a defensive display similar to the ones that have seen Rotherham pick up three clean sheets from six league games this season.

Adam Le Fondre is 5/2 to be the division’s top goalscorer. See the full League Two betting market here.
