This weekend Ladbrokes is once again playing it safe, with a fabulous fourfold of teams flying high in League One at the moment.

In each instance the sides in question are the hosts with Peterborough, Wolves, MK Dons and Preston all picked to provide punters with a tempting quartet of home victories that are backed at odds of over 6/1.

Equating to a return of £73 off a bet of just £10, these selections could make it a Saturday to remember.

MK Dons to beat Tranmere @ 4/6

Karl Robinson’s team may struggle on the road but it’s a different story at Stadium MK, where the Dons are currently on a three game unbeaten run and have lost just four of their last 18 in the league.

Tranmere have lost on each of their last five visits to Milton Keynes and should pose few problems, having tasted defeat in five of their last six away games.

Peterborough to beat Colchester @ 8/11

Two late goals in a 5-4 away loss to Oldham may have denied the Posh a third straight win but Darren Ferguson’s side should be backed to record a fifth win in six games at the London Road Stadium.

Colchester rarely play well on the road either, claiming just two victories from their last 13 competitive away fixtures and could struggle here.

Preston to beat Notts County @ 8/13

Morale remains high at Deepdale following a battling 0-0 draw with Championship side Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup and the good times look set to continue for the Lilywhites at home to a Notts County team that has shipped nine goals over their last two league fixtures.

League leaders Brentford are the only team in the last seven League One games to have bested Preston on their own patch and Simon Grayson will be confident of picking up three points against a team that has lost three of its last four away games in the division.

Wolves to beat Bradford @ 4/7

A run of three straight victories has seen Wolves keep pace with the top two of Leyton Orient and the aforementioned Bees and it’s this form that should see them edge out Bradford.

The Bantams are 10 games without a win going into this one, winning just one of their last nine League One games away from home. Wolves, meanwhile, have won three of their last four at Molineux, with their only slip-up coming in a 1-1 draw with promotion rivals Orient.
