With seven new teams entering League One each year the division always looks considerably different when compared to the previous campaign.

Three of those clubs comprise those relegated from the Championship last year and Doncaster, Barnsley and Yeovil Town will be chomping at the bit to secure a return to the second tier at the first time of asking.

Here Ladbrokes News examines the chances of the relegated trio for the year ahead.

Doncaster Rovers to be promoted @ 10/3

He may not be everyone’s first choice but prospective owner and One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson has high expectations for the season ahead and is confident his side can bounce back.

“The plan is to go straight back up and I think we’ve got the players here to do that and there’s definitely the belief and ambition, so hopefully all that, combined with a little bit of luck and we’ll get there,” he recently said.

Rovers look to have added ex-Derby County midfielder James Bailey to their ranks and the former Rams star has the ability to help his new side mount a serious promotion push.

Barnsley to be promoted @ 9/2

With a number of comings and goings at Oakwell, confidence of an immediate return is somewhat subdued.

However, in Kane Hemmings the Tykes have a young striker who could set the league alight and make that dream a reality.

Former Rangers prospect Hemmings, 22, smashed 24 goals in 39 games for Cowdenbeath last term and similar form will make Danny Wilson’s team a force to be reckoned with this season.

Yeovil Town to be promoted at 5/1

The outside bet of this trio, the Glovers were shock promotion winners in 2012-13 and proved as much as the Championship’s basement boys last year.

Manager Gary Johnson is refusing to panic ahead of the coming campaign but some disastrous pre-season results could be a sign of things to come.

A routine win against Frome Town got Yeovil up and running but subsequent draws with non-league duo Basingstoke Town and Torquay United show there is plenty of work to be done before the season begins.
