This weekend’s League One fixtures throw up some intriguing prices; our four-game accumulator pays just over 25/1, and includes support for several of the division’s more highly regarded sides.

Stevenage v Leyton Orient – Leyton Orient @ 11/8

On current form this selection appears to pick itself. Leyton Orient have hit the ground running this term, sitting pretty at the top of League One after two emphatic victories.

The O’s have bagged eight goals from their opening two fixtures, a fact that will cause grave consternation amongst the Stevenage camp, which has so far experienced two defeats from two and conceded five goals in the process.

With the visitors having won on their last two trips to The Lamex Stadium, arguing against three points for Russell Slade’s side becomes an unenviable task.

Peterborough v Oldham – Peterborough @ 4/7

Since their opening day triumph Oldham have lost their two subsequent games – failing to score in either.

Peterborough are proven operators in this division, and many will fancy them to make a first-time return to the Championship. Posh overcame some of that division’s leading lights last season at London Road, including Cardiff, Watford and Leicester City.

With two wins from two Darren Ferguson’s side have found the net nine times in their last two, and few will oppose them for a third-consecutive triumph this weekend.

Gillingham v Brentford – Brentford @ 11/10

Uwe Rosler’s first full season in charge of Brentford was hugely encouraging if ultimately deflating, with the Bees ultimately finishing in third position before losing in the play-off final.

Their bid to eradicate those memories has begun auspiciously, with a draw and a win in the league augmented by a win in the League Cup; they have netted six goals in their last two.

By contrast, Gillingham are yet to score this season. Having won League Two last season the Gills have underwhelmed so far, losing all three of their competitive matches this term – Martin Allen’s men are now winless in seven.

Preston v MK Dons – Draw @ 11/5

Preston’s results have struck a perfect equilibrium so far, with both of their league matches ending 0-0. The MK Dons have both won and lost this term, their two matches seeing a marginally more exciting total of one goal.

The last three encounters between these two have ended drawn, with two 1-1 scorelines and one of 0-0. At 11/5 the draw is hard to ignore.

A £10 stake returns £250.80.
