Aston Villa are 6/5 favourites in the FA Cup betting to come out on top against Sheffield United – despite their abysmal away record.

There is huge pressure on Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier against the Blades after his side slipped into the Premier League relegation zone following their defeat to Sunderland.

The FA Cup may not be Houllier’s number one priority, but with Villa winning just one of their last 13 away games, they need to build some momentum on the road.

And there won’t be any better opportunities than this weekend. The Blades haven’t won in their last four games and shipped 13 goals in the process.

They have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight matches at Bramall Lane and have an absolutely enormous list of absentees. Stephen Quinn and Andy Reid are both suspended, while Matty Lowton, Richard Wright, Nyron Nosworthy and Stephen Jordan are all injured.

Villa will be missing Emile Heskey following his sending off against Sunderland although, based on his form in front of goal in that game, that may not be a huge blow.

A straightforward bet on Villa to come out on top looks very tempting 6/5. However, with the United defence shipping goals all too easily, backing the Villains to win 3-1 looks very tempting at 14/1.

A £10 bet on Villa to win 4-0 could lead to a return of £400! . New Ladbrokes customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
