Spain are the reigning UEFA European Under-21 title holders and they look a solid safety net bet tonight as they travel to Georgia for their first qualifying fixture for the 2013 instalment of the same tournament.

The safety net bet was victorious with its latest selection earlier this week when Janet’s Pearl was triumphant in a selling race at Ripon when sent off odds-on favourite and Spain are a similar price in Georgia.

Spain defeated Switzerland in the final of the 2011 European Under-21 tournament in June and although only three of this squad remain, Luis Milla still has a more than talented group of players to pick from.

Among the players to have departed are Juan Manuel Mata, Diego Capel and Ander Herrera, which will have weakened the Spanish side.

But Valencia’s Sergio Canales will feature, alongside exciting Atheltic Bilbao striker Iker Munain, highly-regarded Espanyol defender Jordi Amat and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

It is the youngest Spanish squad to ever prepare for a Under-21 qualifier with all of the squad barring six players born after 1990, but one thing that has become recognised of Spanish footballers is that they are all technically gifted, with an uncanny ability to keep possession and remain patient.

Georgia have already played one qualifier in Group Five when winning away in Croatia, but their squad should prove no match for Spain.

Spain are 1/4 in the football odds to win in Georgia and we will be staking £80 on this result to fulfil our aim of making £20 each day.

Current Status
Bank: £429
Today’s stake: £80
Best case scenario: £449
Worst case scenario: £344

Last Safety Net bet: Janet’s Pearl to win 14:00 at Ripon @ 4/9

Wealth warning: although we are confident the safety net bet’s strategy will be profitable over a period of time, the nature of sport means we cannot guarantee you will win every single time.
