This year’s UEFA Super Cup is an all Spanish encounter and, as in La Liga, Real Madrid are expected to come out on top against Europa League winners Sevilla.

Los Blancos are 2/5 to win in 90 minutes and 1/5 to lift the trophy after dispatching Primera Division champions Atletico Madrid in last season’s Champions League final.

Their Andalusia opponents, meanwhile, are 11/2 outsiders for the win in normal time with the Seville club 10/3 to take home the trophy having won two of their last 10 meetings with Real.

Ahead of the big kick-off we’ve picked out three of the best bets available, read on and comment with your own tips for the big game – we’ll see who comes out on top later!

Real Madrid (-2) to beat Sevilla @ 12/5

Sevilla’s 2-1 victory over Los Merengues at the back-end of last season put paid to Real’s La Liga hopes but we are nevertheless backing the Champions League holders for a big win, given their track record for inflicting misery on the Andalusians.

Each of Real’s last five wins over their Seville opponents have come by a margin of three goals or more, making the -2 handicap something of a safe bet – provided the Madrid club bring their A-game to this encounter.

Karim Benzema to score and Real Madrid to win @ 6/4

Cristiano Ronaldo may be the obvious choice for a Los Blancos goalscorer, but the Portuguese offers little value to the average punter and should be ditched in favour of his French teammate Karim Benzema, who boasts a fine record of goals against Sevilla.

The former Lyon hitman has found the net in each of Real’s last three victories over their La Liga opponents and while odds-on in the anytime market, looks nailed on in the wincast market.

Carlos Bacca to score anytime @ 5/2

Though pre-season form rarely provides a clear indication of the campaign to come, those concerned by Real Madrid’s recent poor form in the build-up to the new term could do worse than looking to Carlos Bacca to find the net.

The Colombian hitman has three goals in his last two games against Los Blancos, including a match-winning double in last season’s 2-1 home win and could be the one to watch for a Sevilla goal at anytime.
